Are there any travel restrictions in Bali?

As of June 2023, Bali has reopened to international travelers from 61 countries, who can enter quarantine-free with a Visa on Arrival. A PCR test is no longer required. Here are the conditions for international travel:

  • You need to have received two vaccine doses at least 14 days before your arrival to Bali. The timing of your vaccinations doesn’t matter as long as they were administered more than 14 days prior.
  • International travelers aged 0–17 do not need to show proof of vaccination.
  • Upon arrival, you’ll need to purchase a visa for IDR 500,000, payable by Mastercard, Visa, or cash in IDR. This applies to both adults and children.
  • The Visa on Arrival is valid for 30 days and can be extended once for another 30 days.
  • You’ll need a return ticket that shows that you will leave Indonesia again.
  • Travelers from countries not on the eligible list will need to apply for a Visit Visa B211A. This visa is valid for 60 days and can be extended up to four times, each extension lasting 30 days. If you travel on the B211A visa, you’ll need to install the Peduli Lindugi application on your phone​1​.

For domestic travelers, entry to Bali is straightforward as long as they are fully vaccinated with two doses. A PCR or antigen test is no longer required as of March 7th. However, if you have only received your first shot of the vaccine, you’ll need to show an antigen test taken a maximum of 24 hours prior to departure, or a PCR test taken a maximum of 72 hours prior to departure​.
